Located on the shores of Lake Erie, Maumee Bay State Park Lodge is a mecca in the summer for wildlife and outdoor fun.

Fishing and boating are prime activities with an on-site marina and inland lakes popular for swimming and paddleboat or canoe rentals.

Bring your binoculars to catch a glimpse of the great blue herons and bald eagles along the Lake Erie Birding Trail or stop by the Trautman Nature Center for free interpretive programs.

Multi-use trails are perfect for hikers and bikers to enjoy the natural landscape while golfers hit the Scottish links-style golf course.

The lodge offers organized children’s activities along with geocaching on the grounds.

Close out your busy days at the park’s amphitheater, which features entertainment on selected summer evenings.

Summer is high season at Salt Fork State Park Lodge, which is located in Ohio’s largest state park. Miles of wooded hiking trails, outdoor archery targets, horseback riding, and the 250-acre golf course will keep you busy.

One of the most popular features of Salt Fork is the 2,970-acre unlimited-horsepower lake, which welcomes anglers, water skiers, boaters, and swimmers in permitted areas. Two marinas make water activities convenient with boat rentals available.

Children enjoy organized activities like sand castle creation, T-shirt painting, and nature hikes. Salt Fork also offers gem mining and tours through the historic Kennedy Stone House.

Your summer days end at Salt Fork with s’mores and a bonfire.

With colorful sunrises over Deer Creek Lake, there is no doubt that great summer days are in store at Deer Creek State Park Lodge. Spend your afternoons on the water by renting a paddleboat, paddleboard or kayak from the lodge marina. Grab a rod and reel and fish for bass or just lounge on the beach and soak in the day.

Land dwellers can enjoy summer breezes with a round of golf, a hike on one of the nature trails or by renting a bike from the lodge to explore on two wheels.
Organized children’s activities keep kids busy and family memories are made with evening s’mores around the campfire.

Miles of trails at Mohican State Park Lodge cater to full days of hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.

If water is more your style, Mohican is located in Ohio’s canoe capital, which means canoe liveries abound for treks down the Mohican River.

Summer naturalist activities include night hikes, river walks and live birds of prey demonstrations from the Ohio Bird Sanctuary.

Evenings at Mohican Lodge mean outdoor dining and relaxing by the campfire.
